These are a collection of some of our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about the Social Traffic Plugin. Please feel free to add any questions or comments in the comment section below if you don’t see your question on this list (we will add it thereafter).

  1. What are the minimum requirements to run the plugin?
    • The plugin needs WordPress 3.0 or above and PHP 5.0 or above to effectively run
  2. How do I update my version of WordPress to the current version?
    • Log into your WordPress dashboard
    • If you get a message at the top of the screen asking you to upgrade to the most recent version, click on that link
    • Follow the instructions to upgrade and we suggest using the auto install function to do so
    • If you don’t see this message at the top but think you might be running an older version of WordPress, we have found a plugin being used which prevents WordPress from checking for updates called “Disable WordPress Updates”. If you have this installed and activated you will need to deactivate it first and then you will be able to update Wordpess.
  3. Do you have to shorten your URLs yourself or does the tool do this automatically?
    • This is a built in feature of the tool and completely automatic. You just select which shortener you want it to use (currently we support Bitly.com, is.gd and tinyurl.com) and it shortens them every time it posts.
  4. If you write multiple messages (lets say 5) does the system rotate through them to send them out at the designated dates and times?
    • This is exactly how the tool works! If you write multiple messages, the tool selects them randomly and then sends them out at the appointed time and day you select when you set it up.
  5. How often should I message my followers with an offer to buy the tool?
    • Our rule of thumb in general, whether is be social media or email, is for every 5 pieces of content we send, we follow with an offer. In other words, a 5 to 1 ratio is good.
  6. How long does the tool take to set up?
    • In most cases, it takes less then a minute to install the plugin. Setting up the plugin to connect to Twitter takes about another 5 minutes.
  7. How do I get the plugin?
    • After you purchase the plugin, you will be able to immediately download it and install it instantly.

    Hi,

    I am impressed by this p;ugin and considering to buy it. However i would like to know that will twitter not take any wrong action against you guys as recently they did pull down systems like tweet attacks and tweet adder? I know this plugin does not function like a spamming tool which is good, but thought of asking as it is mentioned on your site that it is not certified by any of the social networks?

      Akbar,

      We really avoid anything that Twitter doesn’t like. Those systems you mentioned are complete spam systems. They are not based on adding value to the platform like our system.

    Can it handle multiple twitter, facebook etc accounts?

      Karl,

      The plugin connects to a single Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn account. We do have a multiple blog version whereby you can connect more then one blog to various social media accounts.

      Just a thought though, is you can always RSS feed on twitter account to another.
